Understanding Visa Rejection

These days, clouds of uncertainty loom over Indian students aspiring to study abroad and they are not happy with the high visa refusal rate. A variety of factors including a shortage of embassy staff, a huge backlog of applications, a massive increase in demand for tourist visas, and stricter protocols while granting visas are responsible for this.

Indian applicants for visas are being rejected by Australia and Canada on the grounds of being non-genuine entrants. Desperate students fall prey to the GODMEN of the visa industry: shady agents who promise to arrange visas using forged documents. Countries like Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the US embassies have reported such incidents of late.

For Indian students, the rejection rate for student visas to Canada is currently very high. In the current scenario, good cases are also rejected because of this reputation. Visa officials have developed a perspective that many non-students or fake students are trying to enter these countries under the guise of taking introductory diplomas or vocational courses.

The authorities have discovered students using fraudulent documents such as fake work experience letters, English test results, birth certificates, financial documents, private diplomas and other paperwork to conceal lengthy study breaks.

Students should work on building a stronger profile so that they do not face such a situation. Firstly, they should not trust agents who give misleading information. Applicants should improve their academics and English proficiency. They should also provide genuine documents while lodging their application. In short, no one can help you till you decide to help yourself. Hence, awareness is the only key to success, and in this case, ignorance is definitely NOT a bliss.
